Statistical Site-General Channel Model for Outdoor MIMO Systems Based on a Path- Morphology Concept

چکیده
In this paper, we propose a new method of morphology classification considering the building height, density, etc. The characteristics of path loss, delay spread(DS), angular spread(AS) of Angle of Departure(AoD) and Angle of Arrival(AoA) for each morphology were investigated by analyzing the simulation results obtained by the ray-tracing technique and a statistical modelling of the building distribution. New MIMO(Multiple-Input Multiple-Output) channel models based on the path morphology concept are also proposed.

Single-Carrier Frequency-Domain Equalization for Orthogonal STBC over Frequency-Selective MIMO-PLC channels
In this paper we propose a new space diversity scheme for broadband PLC systems using orthogonal space-time block coding (OSTBC) transmission combined with single-carrier frequency-domain equalization (SC-FDE). To apply this diversity technique to PLC channels, we first propose a new technique for combining SC-FDE with OSTBCs applicable to all dispersive multipath channels impaired by impulsive...
متن کاملMassive MIMO Channel Modeling – Extension of the COST 2100 Model
As massive MIMO is currently considered a leading 5G technology candidate, channel models that capture important massive MIMO channel characteristics are urgently needed. In this paper we present an attempt for massive MIMO channel modeling based on measurement campaigns at 2.6 GHz in both outdoor and indoor environments, using physically-large arrays and with closelyspaced users. The COST 2100...

Channel estimation is an essential task to fully exploit the advantages of the massive MIMO systems. In this paper, we propose a semi-blind downlink channel estimation method for massive MIMO system. We suggest a new modeling for the channel matrix subspace. Based on the low-rankness property, we have prposed an algorithm to estimate the channel matrix subspace. In the next step, using o...

This paper summarizes our 2x2 Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) fixed wireless outdoor propagation measurements at 2.48GHz conducted in the suburban residential areas of San Jose, California. We report on various channel characteristics such as path loss, Ricean K-factor, Cross-Polarization-Discrimination (XPD) and channel capacity. We present simple models for these characteristics, focusi...
متن کاملDouble-directional Radio Channel Measurements – What We Can Derive from Them
Double-directional is the feature of propagation that is utilized in multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems with antenna arrays at both ends of the radio link. This contribution discusses which information can be derived from measured/estimated directions of arrival (DOAs) and directions of departure (DODs), and establishes a new parameter describing the multipath spread from both linken...
